There, they are befriended by the Fremen, natives of Arrakis. Under the influence of Melange, Paul learns he has special powers and, that he can see into the future. Paul unites the Freman under his leadership, forms an army of warriors, and leads them into battle against Baron Harkonnen and the corrupt Padishah Emperor, Shaddam IV, who is in league with the Harkonnens. Paul vows to avenge his father's murder, and sets out to liberate Arrakis and its people from the Emperor's rule, and to fulfill his destiny

I think you can eliminate all of the internal dialogue from the characters. Their acting shows what they are thinking, without having to add it in the voiceover. The internal dialogue is awkward and redundant and distracting. I think the film would be much stronger without it. Secondly, the navigator voice is, actually kind of weird. I think I prefer the original, deeper voice. However I know this is somewhat controversial. A large being should have a very deep voice, even though one might argue that the spice gas chamber might alter that. The angry outburst is weak in my opinion, and not becoming of such authority. They don't need to get angry. Their mere presence is enough to bring fear and motivation to the emperor. Just some thoughts. But all in all, head and shoulders above anything I have a found on DVD or BlueRay.

Dunedin fl weather. LOL Best summary of the book ever. Do an extended edition adding lasers and shields. Just read the book and I have to say, this trailer looks FUCKING AMAZING! Almost every part of it I was like, Holy shit I know who that is! I know what's going on there! That's the part where this happens! I mean aside from that creature thing in the jar, that thing was not in the book whatsoever. I'm ready to be disappointed when I actually watch the movie, but god damn did this trailer get me pumped. I mean they even copied the geography of the planet in space from the map in the back of the book, this movie was obviously made with SO MUCH love for the novel, regardless of the final outcome.
